Brighton Spring

Brighton Spring is BPO’s exciting new chamber ensemble, bringing together outstanding young musicians at the start of their professional careers. An extension of our Spring Forwards training programme, the ensemble performs ambitious chamber repertoire while partnering with local schools to build a sustainable music education network across Sussex and the South East.

Players will be given guidance on how to deliver education projects, developing both their artistic practice and skills as educators and creative leaders. This training will be put into practice leading masterclasses and side-by-side rehearsals ahead of each concert. Up to 200 state-school pupils are expected to take part in the project’s first year alone, as well as enjoying complimentary tickets to be inspired by Brighton Spring on stage.

To sustain this ambitious scheme, we are hoping to raise £40,000 in the 2026-27 season, making fundraising our top priority. Over thirty Trust and Foundation applications will be made with the aim of securing half the costs through grants, and support has also been secured from two corporate sponsors. We need to raise the remaining £10,000 from individual supporters like you.

Brighton Spring is nurturing a generation of musicians ready to lead in concert halls, classrooms and communities, and inspiring the young audiences that will one day join them. Help us by donating today.
