Corporate Sponsors
We’re grateful to school travel company Travelbound for sponsoring our complimentary tickets for schools and young musicians. Over 100 complimentary tickets have been provided this season as part of BPO’s wider education work in local schools and with music hub Create Music.
‘We’re delighted to support the BPO’s education outreach,’ says Travelbound’s Head of Music and Concert Tours, Ilaria Roche. ‘Our tours enable children to broaden their horizons, performing music on tour across the UK and overseas. But that passion for performance starts at home, and we’re thrilled to be supporting young people to experience live orchestral music on their doorstep here in our hometown of Brighton.’
Education outreach has also been supported by Brighton College, who have sponsored two programmes this season. Our exciting collaboration with Brighton College was new for 2025/26 and has included three recitals in their Autograph Concert Series, each with an accompanying masterclass for students in the afternoon.
Trusts & Foundations
Our first round of applications to Trusts and Foundations last summer has led to five successful grants being awarded for the 2025/26 season.
Two trusts (Garrick Charitable Trust and Idlewild Trust) supported our new Spring Forwards programme, nurturing talented young players at the start of their career.
We also received grants from Chalk Cliff Trust and The Marchus Trust towards our season finale showcasing a new work written by Joanna MacGregor for Brazilian percussion, and to support soloist Adriano Adewale to do education outreach work in local schools.
A grant was also received from the Delius Trust in support of Eventyr: Once Upon a Time being performed at Brighton Dome in December 2025.
Trust & Foundations will continue to play an important role in securing a stable financial future for the orchestra. We’re delighted to have had some success, and have ambitious aims for securing funding towards our 26-27 season.
