Acclaimed composer Errollyn Wallen released her new book Becoming a Composer this month, published by Faber. Wallen, whose work Mighty River we will be performing in March, describes how she felt at the start of her career: 'Nothing about me fitted the picture of a composer. In three video shorts, Music Director Joanna MacGregor chats to internationally acclaimed jazz saxophonist Andy Sheppard, ahead of the Moondog: Sidewalk Dances concert. Joanna and Andy have collaborated on many projects, including recording their best-selling album Deep River, and many peformances of Joanna's 12-movement suite inspired by the music of street performer Moondog.
