Music over the summer months

If you are looking for concerts over the summer a number of local churches have lunchtime concerts taking place every week, including:

On Sat 8 July at 4pm St Mary’s, Kemptown are also hosting a talk by David Ingledew about his work restoring their 1904 Bechstein piano to concert standard. There will be scones, jam, cream and strawberries and a chance too to see the results of the recent building repairs. Tickets are just £5 and it’s free for under-16s and everyone is invited to stay on afterwards for a free recital at 6pm featuring Katherine Nicholas, Janet Ormerod, Carol Alderson and Nick Andrews with songs and arias by Purcell and Bach, and Bach’s beautiful Flute Sonata in E major, BWV1035.
