The Menges String Quartet

The BPO and the Brighton Dome are holding auditions for our first ever resident string quartet. If you are under 18 and a Grade 8 or above string player we want to hear from you!

Named after the Founder of the BPO, the Menges String Quartet will give young musicians the opportunity to play at a minimum of four foyer concerts per year at Brighton Dome plus a range of other performance opportunities.

As a member of the Quartet you will receive coaching from Mark Messenger (the BPO's Principal Second Violin and Head of Strings at the Royal College of Music) and additional support from the London Philharmonic Orchestra, plus free concert tickets for both orchestras.
