Friends of Brighton Philharmonic
Without its Friends, Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra wouldn’t survive at the heart of the city’s music-making – with your support we can help to keep it there.
The BPO’s aim is to provide enjoyable, varied, professional concerts at affordable prices. In order to do this the orchestra relies on the support of its parent organisation, the Brighton & Hove Philharmonic Society, a registered charity comprising ‘the Friends of the Philharmonic’. The income from Friends’ subscriptions and donations contributes significantly to the BPO’s concerts, helping the orchestra perform the wide range of repertoire that its audiences enjoy. Becoming a Friend or Patron makes you a vital part of the BPO’s activities and, in addition to helping support the orchestra, Friends enjoy a number of benefits including:
- Exclusive Friends’ Priority Booking opportunities to secure your seat for the following season with season tickets discounted by up to 25%
- One free ticket in each season under our ‘Friend of a Friend’ scheme
- Free access to orchestral rehearsals throughout the year
- Regular Newsletters
- Occasional Friends events, activities and special offers
Patrons of the Brighton Philharmonic benefit from all of the above, plus:
- Exclusive invitation to our annual Sponsors’ Reception
- Two free tickets in each season under our ‘Friend of a Friend’ scheme
- Credit in the programme and on our website
To take full advantage of the priority booking benefit you must be a Friend of the Philharmonic at the point at which you submit your application for tickets.

Payment methods We accept payment by cheque, made payable to “Brighton and Hove Philharmonic Society”, by Direct Debit and by bank transfer. We regret that we are currently unable to accept credit/debit card payments. Please note that payment by cheque attracts an additional fee of £1 to cover bank charges.
If you are already a Friend and wish to renew your membership, you can download a renewal form here: https://www.brightonphil.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/FRIENDS-MEMBERSHIP-RENEWAL-2018.pdf
Using Gift Aid means that for every pound you give, we get an extra 25 pence from the Inland Revenue, helping your donation go further. This means that your £25 membership can be turned into £31.25 or your £140 patronage can be turned into £175 so long as donations are made through Gift Aid. Imagine what a difference that could make and it doesn’t cost you a thing! So if you want to make your donation go further, make sure you tick the Gift Aid box on the application form.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]
