Without its Friends, Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra wouldn’t survive at the heart of the city’s music-making – with your support we can help to keep it there.
By becoming a Friend or a Patron you can help to ensure that the Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra continues bringing pleasure to thousands of classical music lovers every year. The BPO’s aim is to provide enjoyable, varied, professional concerts at affordable prices. In order to do this the orchestra relies on the support of its parent organisation, the Brighton & Hove Philharmonic Society, a registered charity comprising ‘the Friends of the Philharmonic’. The income from Friends’ subscriptions and donations contributes significantly to the BPO’s concerts, helping the orchestra perform the wide range of repertoire that its audiences enjoy. Becoming a Friend or Patron makes you a vital part of the BPO’s activities and, in addition to helping support the orchestra, Friends enjoy a number of benefits including:
- Discounts on Season Tickets of up to 25%
- Exclusive Friends’ Priority Booking opportunities to secure your seat for the following season
- One free ticket in each season under our ‘Friend of a Friend’ scheme
- Discounted tickets for the Summer Season
- Free access to orchestral rehearsals throughout the year
- Regular Newsletters
Patrons of the Brighton Philharmonic benefit from all of the above, plus:
- Exclusive invitation to our annual Sponsors’ Reception
- Two free tickets in each season under our ‘Friend of a Friend’ scheme
- Credit in the programme and on our website
To take full advantage of the priority booking benefit you must be a Friend of the Philharmonic at the point at which you submit your application for tickets.
