Flashback to 1975 – BPO childrens’ concert

On Saturday 25 October 1975 the Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of John Carewe, performed “Music for Starters? – A Concert particularly for Children” at Brighton Dome.  The programme included Glinka’s “Russlan & Ludmilla” Overture, the “Scherzo” from Beethoven’s “Symphony No.3 in E Flat (Eroica)” and extracts from Prokoviev’s “Lieutenant Kijé Suite”.
