John Hawkins

John used to work as a book designer for Thames & Hudson and one of the titles he was involved in was The Human Face of God by the poet and Blake scholar Kathleen Raine. Her passion for Blake was infectious and he has since written several pieces derived from this astonishing poetry. Fuzon (a string quartet in two movements) was premiered by the Piatti Quartet in 2012 at the Royal Academy of Music.  John, who lives in Lewes, has written many vocal, orchestral and chamber pieces which have been performed worldwide.
