Artur Pizarro piano

An energetic and joyful opener from the BPO's Composer in Focus paves the way for a series of musical postcards.

Portuguese pianist Artur Pizarro joins the BPO for two concertos: a Frenchman's 'tour of the Orient' and an impressionistic picture of Spain by the country's greatest composer.

Respighi's majestic symphonic portrait of his beloved Rome - scored for a massive orchestra - brings the season to a close in glorious musical technicolour.
