Barry Wordsworth conductor
John Anderson oboe

Two giants of literature, Goethe and Shakespeare, provide the inspiration for a pair of musical poems and British oboist John Anderson plays a concerto imbued with the sounds of the English landscape.

Andrew Gant (Organist, Choirmaster and Composer for Her Majesty's Chapels Royal) takes folksongs from across the British Isles and weaves them into a symphonic setting being given its world premiere by the BPO.
