(Symphony No.3 in C minor)

Barry Wordsworth conductor
Umberto Clerici cello

Rossini evokes a storm, a galop and a pastoral idyll in his greatest operatic overture and Saint-Saens' symphony brings the thunderous sound of the Brighton Dome's magnificent organ to the Concert Hall.

Umberto Clerici makes his UK debut by bringing the BPO's series of three Elgar concerts to a close with the expressive, expansive cello concerto.
