The tale of Shakespeare's tragic lovers is told in Tchaikovsky's passionate symphonic poem and Beethoven's 'Pastoral' Symphony celebrates life in the country, from rustic dances to shepherds' songs and peaceful streams to violent storms.

Guest Conductor Shuntaro Sato - renowned for his recordings of the complete Beethoven symphonies - is joined by previous BBC Young Musician of the Year Nicola Loud for one of the monuments of the romantic violin repertoire.
